Mountain Hikes

This is a rather demanding, but nonetheless worthy day trip. Except for a few spots of easy climbing, it involves mostly hiking in steep terrain. The ascent and descent cover an altitude difference of 1550 meters.

Fürenalp - Wissberg - Rugghubelhütte
Starting at Fürenalp the path leads up to Wissberg. After climbing a 40-meter high ladder, we reach the Fulenwasser-valley, from where a plateau allows a relaxing walk to Rugghubel-hut. The second day includes the ascent of Rötgrätli and the subsequent descent to the Bannalp. Extraordinarily ambitious hikers can take the Walen-trail back to Engelberg.
